Wilmington, DE native and owner of Serena Joy, LLC, Serena Joy, takes stages to give her dreams flight and her audience vision. She is a spoken word artist in the fields of poetry and rap, who often adds some vocals to flavor her message. The message is always meant to uplift, empower and inspire especially when it comes to our youth. Serena has been making up songs since she was a toddler, but it was in the summer of 2015 when she decided to pursue her dream as an artist.

Since then she has been a featured artist at various venues, while also winning a few awards. One being new artist of the year for the Kindred Awards in 2019 for her Album entitled

Promise Life, which is about knowing we all have promise on our lives.

If she’s not performing or working on her craft, you can probably find her engaging the youth. With a background as a tutor, mentor and substitute teacher, Serena’s main purpose is to use her gifts as a tool to positively impact our younger generations. This is why she also launched her SEL workshops in 2019 under her program A Different World: Led by Ladies & Guided by Gentlemen as the goal continues.
